A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER, LISA MOORE, D.D. CHt, ATP®
Following my passions work, presenting at Wellness Conferences and equipping persons to have balanced harmonious lives lead to an astonishing discovery. Very few LGBT businesses or patrons were exposed to or benefiting from vital health and holistic information and practices. Upon research, I discovered that no organization specifically focused on the LGBT holistic health community. This was and is inspiration of LGBT Wellness Foundation.
The LGBT community is indicative of entire humanity. Individuals need healing, empowerment and growth to raise the collective consciousness both in groups and as a whole. Education and access for everyone is key. It was my daughter Kelsi who helped me understand this concept and truth.
To launch LGBT Wellness, Kelsi and I decided on a conference specifically geared for the LGBT population. We explored many Pride organizations and spoke to numerous people diligently researching. Our first national LGBT Wellness Conference was in 2012, Sedona, AZ. We were honored by the City of Sedona declaring August 17th as LGBT Wellness Day. As we continue to fulfill our mission, and take on new challenges, people have shown up, got engaged and shared our vision with a passion to serve and spread the message of whole-ness in the LGBT community.
As a 501c3 nonprofit, we embark on making a real difference in our national community. We invite you to feel the love and support that already exists and encourage you to partner with us to grow to infinite possibilities. Together we will make LGBT Wellness its conferences and events life changing and awakening for the body-mind-souls of all humankind.
Pride and love,
Lisa Moore, D.D.
“As Sedona’s Mayor, I am pleased that the LGBT Wellness Foundation has chosen Sedona as its headquarters. The educational events that it provides will be instrumental in heightening community, state and national awareness of the issues facing the LGBT community. Its presence in Sedona supports the City’s Vision Statement, which states, ‘Sedona strives to be a city that offers equal opportunities for all and fosters a sense of community.'” – Rob Adams, Mayor, City of Sedona, AZ
